Fading Green Dividing Line

My start in dogs was obedience training German Shepherds but I switched to conformation showing in the late 1960’s.   My first conformation dog was a Borzoi and while I loved Sighthounds, I went "small".  Ending up very involved with Papillons and I helped form the Greater Chicagoland Papillon Club.  In 1977,  I moved to Southern California and began a long involvement with Italian Greyhounds.  The last time I looked I had over 50 Italian Greyhound champions (on a very limited breeding program).  They’ve won BIS, BISS, AOMs and been Nationally ranked.  I’m currently a lifetime member of the Italian Greyhound Club of America (IGCA) and past chairman of IGCA Rescue.  I also joined Orange Empire Dog Club (OEDC) way back then.  I’ve served as Bulletin editor for several years and as a director.   In the late ‘80’s I became involved with the hairless dog breeds and I’m proud of my many Chinese Crested champions.  I have been a member and officer of the American Chinese Crested Club (ACCC) and judged their National Specialty Sweepstakes.  I served on the Xoloitzcuintli Club of America (XCA) board for several years and put on two National Specialties for the breed.  More recently I’ve bred and shown American Hairless Terriers (AHT) in UKC and most are grand CHs now.  I’m involved with a couple of UKC clubs and I’m a licensed UKC judge.  Additionally, I serve on the board for the AHT’s AKC club and maintain the breed’s studbook for AKC application.
